Dear Parents / Guardians
As you may already know, Monday 13th November is the start of this year’s BBC Children in Need Appeal Week. Our school is excited to be joining with many others around the UK to participate in the fundraising programme, the Big BBC Children in Need Spotacular!
The Big Spotacular will help your child learn about the lives of disadvantaged children across the whole of the UK, whilst developing skills like communication, teamwork and decision-making.
On Friday 17th November, we are planning to take part in the spotty-themed fundraising activities by inviting the children to school in their pyjamas – spots are optional! Our suggested “fine” for not getting dressed is £1, but please donate whatever you feel you can.
Before the big day, we are asking you to rummage down the back of the sofa, under the seat of the car and in the depths of your pockets to find any OLD ROUND POUNDS. They can no longer be used in the shops but Pudsey can put them to good use. We have a money box in every classroom and on Friday 17th November we are hoping to decorate a giant Pudsey with your generous donations. If you can’t find any old round pounds any other coins would be most welcome.
After school, the PTA will be running a spotty-themed bake sale, and your delicious bakes are needed to make this a success! Please leave any baked delights (homemade or otherwise) to the office on the morning of Friday 17th November. As always, please ensure any donations are NUT FREE.
We are aiming to raise even more this year to support disadvantaged young people across the UK.
Let’s make a big difference to the lives of children in the UK.
Thank you for your continued support,
