Welcome to Culverstone Green Primary School!
Culverstone Green is a friendly, caring primary school set in the heart of a rural community. We are committed to developing a close partnership with parents to ensure that all our children achieve their best.
Our aim is for your child to enjoy learning and to display high standards of work and behaviour at all times.
The primary school has served the community since 1959 when the present building was opened and before then from 1873 when the school was situated in Whitepost Lane.
Many past pupils now have their own children, even grandchildren at our school and this contributes to the friendly and caring atmosphere
We have a beautiful site of two and a quarter acres, which is fully utilised to enhance the curriculum offered to your child. Our aim is for your child to develop to his/her potential.
In addition to promoting language, aesthetic, mathematical and scientific skills, your child will build confidence, develop self-reliance, learn to make decisions and develop the ability to discuss his/her own feelings and ideas.
We place great importance upon the development of social skills and seek to enable your child to build relationships with other children and adults whilst being sensitive to the needs of others.
We have stressed our commitment to parental involvement. It is crucial that we support one another; therefore we will provide frequent opportunities to keep you informed of your child’s progress in all aspects of his/her development.
Childhood is a very special time, we must work together to ensure that it is as joyous and productive a time as possible for each child in our school.
