When you walk through the doors of CGPS the sense of happiness is palpable.
Since coming to this school, my daughter has had so much help and I have been kept up to date at all times; communication is so important and this school always communicates.
There is a mutual respect between teachers and pupils.
We were so lucky to end up with such a brilliant primary school right on our doorstep, since we have been here the school has become extremely sought after with some parents traveling from considerable distances to join. The excellent reputation the school has is hard-earned and much deserved.
The Early Years Foundation Stages were explained when my daughter started nursery, I can look at her folder at anytime.
The school productions such as ‘Culverstone’s Got Talent’ and the recent Jubilee show are so much fun for the children and as a parent I always look forward to the next performance night, I know I will be laughing and crying, usually at the same time!
I have always found the staff to be friendly and welcoming to myself and my daughter when we arrive at the nursery.

Moving my son to Culverstone Green Primary School has not only completely changed the course of his education but has probably changed the course of his entire life.
The school is innovative and will do original things; it even has a school dog!
The children are well supported and any issues are dealt with in a prompt, professional and efficient manner.
It always strikes me when I come into contact with a group of Culverstone children how happy and full of life they are. They are also polite and courteous. Whenever I am walking around the school the children hold the doors open for me, or smile, or say ‘hello’, the teachers also are ready with a smile if you pass them in a corridor. All this makes for a happy, friendly atmosphere and makes the school a warm and welcoming place to be. All of my children love school and it is a place they feel secure, comfortable and confident.
My son loves his time at preschool and that makes me happy. I have no other reason to say it any other way.
From beebots to ipads- the technology the children are exposed to is absolutely wonderful and my boys come home full of enthusiasm for the new things they are learning.
Children are encouraged to think for themselves, to consider the consequences of their actions and how they affect others.
The staff are more than helpful if I ever ask for advice or have any specific need.

Culverstone to me is a school with an open door where you are made to feel that they are on your side and any concerns will be met with help and understanding.
My year 4 child is constantly asked to stretch her abilities with challenges such as learning the 18 times table or some really difficult spellings, she really enjoys being pushed in this way as there is a real sense of achievement to be had when you succeed and I can see that she is really proud of herself for going that extra mile.
CGPS provides a nurturing and caring environment for my daughter. Her individual needs are assessed and catered for through a differentiated curriculum. She is very happy here

I feel that my child is safe within the nursery environment, there is always staff around and the gates are attended when open or kept locked when not.

The nursery is a warm environment with photos of the children on the walls.
It is excellent that the school is very open about sharing National Curriculum levels/grades with parents and teachers are very happy to discuss these. From speaking to friends at other schools this isn’t always the case. This openness and transparency creates a relationship of trust between parents and the school.
Humour plays a big part in the school day; my children often come home with stories about something funny their teacher said or did in class or a game they played. They are often asked to dress up as different characters and they have class parties for special occasions like end of term or Christmas.
Our weather can be very unpredictable so it is great that the teachers are willing to be flexible. If it’s a sunny day the children will go outside for a lesson or perhaps a game of cricket to make the most of the fresh air and the sunshine. If the weather is really hot then, if possible, the children get to swim in the pool every day.
Enrolling my daughter at this school is the best decision I have made. She is very happy at school and it is evident that she has made so much progress. Her teachers have been absolutely amazing – she speaks very positively about them all and about her learning. Kahren is amazing at keeping us all informed via e-mail and/or text messages and this is highly appreciated.
My daughter is due to finish nursery this year and she has gained so much: confidence, social skills, independance, how to play and share and the list goes on.
The Key Person system is a great idea, especially for a child who needs support.
My child’s teacher noticed that she was not performing as well as she should be in one particular subject, within a couple of weeks I was advised, tests were carried out and assessments done and it was decided between us that there was no need for any concern. It is very reassuring to feel that the children’s progress is being monitored closely and that any problems are addressed efficiently and with a minimum of fuss/worry caused to the child or parent.
Our children are challenged to be the best that they can be and are encouraged to do things which force them out of their comfort zone.
